The Fire Info page was developed in order to inform governmental agencies and various local fire services throughout Canada about the Reinoldmax aerosol fire extinguishers. All the provided information has been checked and validated, as confirmed by the test reports and certificates of compliance detailed in the present page.

Since July 2014, Eco Securica Inc. is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Reinoldmax AFFF foam spray fire extinguisher, manufactured in Lithuania. The Reinoldmax product line has been commercialized in more than 15 European countries for over 20 years and its clientele includes major industry leaders such as Nissan, Fiat, Hyundai, Goodyear, Carrefour, Thomas Philips, Edeka, KIK and several others. All Reinoldmax products meet the highest the industry’s quality standards and have been tested and certified by several European certification bodies. In fact, Switzerland, in 2010, awarded Reinoldmax the title of best domestic fires extinguishing product.

The container has been submitted to numerous testing procedures with respect to resistance to corrosion, shocks, and very high temperatures to assess its safe usage by the general population BSI, CNPP, TUV and more...

In Greece, the existing regulation obligates all vehicle manufacturers and owners auto makers to carry a fire extinguisher; Reinoldmax is the only authorized product conforming to this regulation.

Easy to use and maintenance free, the Reinoldmax foam spray fire extinguisher represents an ecological and economical solution for the residential sector and offers a superior protection at home or the cottage, in recreational vehicles, pleasure crafts and the automotive industry.

Reinoldmax is easy to use and requires no training. To put out an incipient fire, you simply press the push-button, as you would with any other common domestic use aerosol spray container (cleaners, hair spray, deodorants, etc.). Another innovation of Reinoldmax is its weight; contrary to conventional chemical fire extinguishers weighting up to 16 lb, our container only weights 2 lb and can be easily manipulated by teenager and elderly people in case of emergency, thus reducing the stress resulting from an incipient fire incident.

Reinoldmax extinguishes all types of fire, namely: Class A (flammable solids), Class B (flammable liquids), Class C (1000 V or less electrical appliances) and Class K (cooking fires); in the Province of Quebec, 25 cooking fire incidents are reported weekly.

The innovative propulsion technology of the Reinoldmax portable fire extinguisher allows you to spray the foam at a safe 1 to 3 metres distance without splashing, feeding or dispersing lighted liquids, thus making its use that much safer. Furthermore, the AFFF foam formulation, with proven extinguishing properties, is non- toxic and leaves no hard to clean messy residue.

Affordable and cost efficient, our product does not require inspection or maintenance procedures and once it has reach its expiration date (after 3 years), it can be used as a cleaning product for the oven cavity or the barbecue grille, providing an more ecological alternative to harmful conventional chemical cleaners.

Legalizing sale of the Reinoldmax product in Canada

Reinoldmax is currently regulated under and meets  Public Safety Canada, Health Canada and Environment Canada standards for "Ethanol, 2-(2butoxyethoxy) AFFF Fire Extinguishing Foam" formulation and consequently, can be legally sold in Canada.

However, the product is not certified as a portable fire extinguisher in accordance with NFPA10 standard and therefore cannot replace a conventional fire extinguisher where this standard is mandatory.

Homologation of the Reinoldmax product in North America

There are no current established standards for portable aerosol spray fire extinguishers. We are presently collaborating with governmental agencies in order to determine Canadian standards for portable aerosol spray fire extinguishing equipment. the homologation and implementation of dedicated standard require time.

Sales restriction for the province of Alberta

Some non-homologated products imported do not meet the needs of the consumers, but there is currently no national law or standards regulating such products. Due to this legislative void, the Province of Alberta, in 2014, implemented the AFC 2014 division B provincial law stating that all fire products sold on their territory must be certified.

Weight and performance

500 mL and 750 mL Reinoldmax cans offer an equal or better performance than chemical powder fire extinguishers; the reusable Reinoldmax foam spray fire extinguisher is suited for more fire classes than conventional models and its discharge period equals that of equipment holding three times more volume. Another significant advantage of our product is its weight; despite its handiness, Reinoldmax is extremely effective and offers a longer discharge duration.
